Child Centered Care in Medicine Kids are Patients Too!

| Why Do We Need Child Centered Care?
There are over 6,000 hospitals in the
This problem is not unique to the U.S. Children the world over receive
care from providers that have variable skills when it comes to pediatric,
paediatric and keiki patients. No matter what you call it, it's a
problem the world over. Children require a different method to achieve the same high quality of service and care that is experienced by adult patients. Their language, understanding, and concerns, as well as the technical skills required, are all very different from those of adults. Some practitioners have natural talents in this setting, while others are quite uncomfortable. That discomfort often is felt by and passed onto the already anxious parent and child. This can result in poor communication, poor technical performance and consequently poor patient and staff satisfaction. Most facilities are capable of delivering this level of care if only the latent skills of it's staff are allowed to blossom.
This endeavor aims to unleash these latent talents, improve upon them,
and spread these learning's. We are offering our services to
ancillary staff, nurses, and physicians who deliver care to children as a
necessary but uncommon part of their duties.
The aim is to give all staff the necessary skills for delivering medical
services to and communicating with children and parents, and consequently
improving the care experience for all involved.
Our MissionOur mission is to ensure that all medical facilities consistently provide all children who seek medical care a child-centered experience. We will endeavor to assist facilities in ensuring a comfortable atmosphere, trained providers who are expert in dealing with children, and assist them in utilizing approaches and techniques to minimize discomfort and to maximize the care experienced by children, their parents, and the practicing staff.
